Pink Moon Celebration
Wednesday 1st April at 7pm
Mow Cop Community Hall

Pink Moon Drum Meditation, Cacao Ceremony & Gong Bath 🌕

Join us for a deeply nourishing evening in celebration of the April Pink Moon, a time of renewal, awakening, and gentle transformation.

We will begin by gathering in a sacred circle to share ceremonial cacao, opening the heart and setting intentions under the rising full moon. From there, we’ll move into a guided drum meditation, allowing the rhythm to ground us, quiet the mind, and reconnect us with our inner wisdom.

The evening will then soften into a restorative gong bath, where waves of sound wash through the body, helping release tension, clear stagnant energy, and invite deep relaxation.

What to expect:
• Heart-opening cacao ceremony
• Guided drum meditation journey
• Immersive gong sound bath
• Space for reflection and integration

The Pink Moon

🌕 Why it’s called the “Pink Moon”

The name originates from Native American and colonial-era naming traditions, later popularized by groups like the Old Farmer's Almanac. Each full moon was named after seasonal changes, and April’s reflects the arrival of spring flowers.

🌸 Other traditional names

Different cultures gave April’s full moon other names, such as:

  • Sprouting Grass Moon

  • Egg Moon

  • Fish Moon

These all point to renewal, growth, and new life in spring.

✨ What it represents

Symbolically, the Pink Moon is often associated with:

  • Fresh starts and transformation

  • Growth and renewal

  • Letting go of the past

🔭 When to see it

The exact date changes each year depending on the lunar cycle. In 2026, the April full moon will occur on April 2, 2026 (visible the night before and after as well).

If you want, I can tell you the best time to see it from London or whether it’ll be especially bright this year.
