ABOUT

What is Reiki?

Reiki photo.jpg

Reiki is an complimentary energy healing technique in which a Reiki Healer, Julie, Sean or Kim, who have undergone formal training in this healing art use gentle hand movements with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy, known in Reiki as life force energy, through the client's body to reduce stress and promote healing. All of our treatments are infused with Reiki healing, so even if you opt for a facial or a massage you will still benefit from the universal energy that is Reiki.

Hatha Yoga

Possibly the most familiar form of Yoga in the west is Hatha Yoga. Hatha yoga is primarily concerned with mastery of the body and breath. The term is derived from the Sanskrit ha, meaning "sun," and tha, meaning "moon," The postures held are designed to unite and balance these two energies, bringing balance to our lives long after the practice has ended. Whilst the literal translation of Hatha is "force," alluding to the physical techniques used within this tradition, our practice is designed to be all inclusive of age, sex, and ability.

Contact us at The Reiki Room for more details of classes and private sessions available.

Restorative Yin Yoga

Our practice is designed to be the Yin to the Yang of Hatha Yoga. A slower, restorative session, using passive rather than active postures. We will hold our postures for between 1 and 5 minutes to gently warm and stretch our ligaments, fascia, and tendons. In our busy lives we seldom slow down and look within. Therefore our practice is designed to slow us down, helping alleviate stress and restoring energy levels,  improving flexibility, boosting circulation, and reducing tension.

Contact us at The Reiki Room for more details of classes and private sessions available.

The venues are lovely and there is never any pressure on you during the sessions, Julie and Sean provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere and there is usually hot chocolate (cacao) and gongs which is always good!!
